Definition: Scotland's replacement for Personal Independence Payment — paid by Social Security Scotland to working-age adults with long-term care or mobility needs.
ADP has the same daily living and mobility components and weekly rates as PIP. Decisions are made by Social Security Scotland under Scottish law. Existing PIP claimants in Scotland are transferred automatically.
