For businesses
Partner with Money Guide
In short: Businesses can partner with Money Guide in three ways: pay per result through a referral or affiliate programme, sponsor a topic with a labelled featured placement, or license our calculators and rates data. Every paid placement is labelled Ad, and no partner can buy rankings, reviews, figures or editorial coverage.

Who is Money Guide for?
Money Guide is a free, plain-English guide to UK personal finance for people in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Readers arrive with a specific job to do — moving home, switching bills, making a will, starting work, dealing with a bereavement — and every guide cites its primary sources and shows when it was last checked. What are the ways to partner with us?
There are three options. A referral partnership is the simplest place to start, because you only pay for results.
Referral partner
Pay only for results
Commission or a fee per qualifying sale or lead, agreed in advance — through your affiliate network or direct tracking.
No fixed fee
- Links from relevant guides and calculators, marked * and qualified rel="nofollow sponsored"
- A labelled offer card where it genuinely helps the reader
- Listing in our offers hub where your category is covered
- Tracking through your network or a direct link — no cookies set by us
Labelled: Ad label on cards, * on links, shown in our disclosure
Best for: Switching, moving-home and home services, travel, and other non-regulated products
Featured partner
Sponsor a topic for a fixed term
A fixed fee for an agreed term, quoted per topic.
Quoted per topic and term
- One labelled featured card across a defined set of guides in one topic
- A place on the topic's hub page, outside any comparison or ranking
- Only one featured partner per topic at a time
- A quarterly summary of views of the pages carrying your placement and clicks through our tracked links
Labelled: Ad label and a sentence explaining the sponsorship
Best for: Brands that want visibility beside a whole topic, such as moving home or bills
Tool and data partner
Calculators and rates data
A licence fee, quoted per use.
Quoted per licence
- Sponsor a calculator with a “Sponsored by” note — results never change
- Embed or white-label our Stamp Duty, LTT, LBTT and other calculators on your site
- Licensed access to our UK rates and thresholds data with update notes
- Attribution back to Money Guide on embeds
Labelled: “Sponsored by” note on sponsored tools; attribution on embeds
Best for: Estate agents, conveyancers, brokers, accountants and publishers
How do the options compare?
| Option | How you pay | Where it appears | Label |
|---|---|---|---|
| Referral partner | Per qualifying sale or lead | Relevant guides, calculators and the offers hub | Ad and * |
| Featured partner | Fixed fee for a term | One topic's guides and hub, one partner per topic | Ad |
| Tool and data partner | Licence fee | A sponsored calculator, or embeds and data on your own site | “Sponsored by” or attribution |
Which topics are open to partners?
| Topic | Suitable partners | Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| Moving home and conveyancing | Conveyancers, removals firms, surveyors, quote-comparison services | Solicitors and licensed conveyancers must disclose referral fees; we order quotes by total price |
| Bills and switching | Energy, broadband, mobile and TV comparison or suppliers | Energy suppliers must hold an Ofgem licence; switching offers must show their conditions |
| Wills, probate and bereavement | Will writers, probate practitioners, funeral directors | Probate services must be authorised to carry out reserved legal activities; no funeral plans unless FCA-authorised |
| Students, careers and training | Course and training providers, career services | No promotion of private student loans or other consumer credit |
| Travel | Travel services; travel insurance only through FCA-authorised firms | Insurance promotions need an FCA-compliant arrangement |
| Tools and data | Estate agents, conveyancers, brokers, accountants, publishers | Calculator results and our figures are never changed for a sponsor |
What can't partners buy?
- A higher position in any comparison, table, list or ranking
- Reviews, ratings, scores or “best” labels
- Editorial coverage, quotes in our guides, or changes to our figures
- Removing or softening accurate information about you or your product
- Followed links: paid links always carry rel="nofollow sponsored"
- Hiding the free or official option — we always show it where one exists
Which businesses don't we work with?
- Gambling operators, including online casinos, betting and lottery-style products
- Payday and other high-cost short-term credit
- Unregulated investments, crypto-asset promotions and “get rich” schemes
- Paid debt solutions that sell leads — free debt advice is available to everyone
- Firms that need FCA authorisation and don't have it, or appear on the FCA Warning List
- Funeral plans from providers that are not FCA-authorised
Can FCA-regulated firms partner with Money Guide?
Yes, but only through an arrangement that is compliant for both sides. Money Guide is not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority, so we can't promote regulated products or introduce customers for commission on our own. Mortgage brokers, insurers and other authorised firms can discuss arrangements where the firm takes regulatory responsibility for our introductions. We don't take commission on consumer credit, and we don't promote investments or pensions. Read our editorial policy for how commercial content is kept separate.
How do you become a partner?
-
Tell us about your business
Email [email protected] with your company name and number, any regulator and registration number, what you offer, which of our topics fit, and whether you already run an affiliate programme.
-
We check fit and compliance
We check your registrations (Companies House, the FCA register or other regulators), your product terms and whether a placement would genuinely help our readers.
-
Agree terms in writing
We agree the option, pages, labelling, tracking, term and price in writing before anything goes live.
-
Go live and review
Placements go live with their labels. We review complaints and performance every quarter, and either side can end the arrangement on the notice agreed.

Email us about a partnershipCommon questions from businesses
- How can my business advertise on Money Guide?
- Email [email protected] with the subject "Partnership enquiry". Tell us what you offer, which topics fit and whether you run an affiliate programme. We offer referral (pay per result), featured topic sponsorship, and calculator or data licensing.
- Can we pay to be ranked, reviewed or recommended?
- No. Rankings, reviews, ratings, “best” labels and editorial coverage are never for sale. Paid placements appear in labelled Ad blocks, separate from comparisons and editorial content.
- Do you sell sponsored posts or followed links?
- No. We don't publish paid articles or guest posts, and every paid link carries rel="nofollow sponsored", as Google requires for paid links.
- Do you work with FCA-regulated firms?
- Only through an arrangement that is compliant for both sides — for example, where your firm takes regulatory responsibility for our introductions. Money Guide is not FCA-authorised, so we don't take commission on consumer credit and we don't promote investments or pensions.
- Can we join through an affiliate network?
- Yes. If you run a programme on an affiliate network, tell us which one and we'll apply through it. Referral partners are paid per qualifying result, with no fixed fee.
- How much does a partnership cost?
- Referral partnerships have no fixed fee — you pay commission per result. Featured sponsorships and calculator or data licences are quoted per topic and term.
