ULEZ (Ultra Low Emission Zone)

Definition: London's daily charge (£12.50) for driving non-compliant vehicles inside the zone, expanded to cover all London boroughs from August 2023.

Most diesel cars registered before September 2015 and petrol cars registered before 2006 do not meet the standard. Other UK cities run Clean Air Zones (CAZ) with their own boundaries and charges; Glasgow has a Low Emission Zone.
