Definition: The government-backed savings provider. 100% of money held with NS&I is HM-Treasury-backed, beyond the £85,000 FSCS limit.

Products include Premium Bonds, Direct Saver, Income Bonds, Green Savings Bonds and Junior ISA. Returns are sometimes below the market but security is unique among UK providers.
