In short: From 17 January 2025 new mobile, broadband and pay-TV contracts must show any mid-contract price rises as fixed pound amounts before you sign — inflation-linked CPI plus 3.9% hikes are banned on new deals.

Providers must include disclosed rises in total contract cost on comparison sites and at point of sale.
Contracts signed before January 2025 may still use old inflation-linked rise clauses until they end.
