How do I calculate the total cost of a broadband TV bundle?

Where a link is marked *, it is a partner link — we receive commission at no extra cost to you. Links without a * earn us nothing. How we make money.

In short: Add introductory monthly fee multiplied by promo months, plus standard rate multiplied by remaining contract months, plus setup, delivery, TV box and router fees, and annual price rises if contractually allowed. Divide total by contract months for true average monthly cost — compare that figure across providers.

Example: £30 for 24 months with £60 setup and £50 annual rise in month 13 totals different from headline £30 — spreadsheet the schedule line by line.

Out-of-contract pricing jumps — set calendar reminder to renegotiate or switch at minimum term end; loyal customers often pay more than new customer deals.

Sports add-ons renew at full price after promo — Sky Sports, TNT Sports and Amazon Premier League passes need separate renewal tracking if bolted on.

Include mobile bundle discounts only if you genuinely need the SIM — fictitious savings inflate bundle value. See broadband TV bundles guide.
