Digital asset inventory (for executors)

Before you send it

• Keep this inventory separately from the will (in a sealed envelope with your solicitor, a fireproof box at home, or with a password manager that has a designated emergency contact).
• Update it whenever you open or close an account, especially crypto exchanges and self-custody wallets.
• Do not write seed phrases or private keys directly into this document. Record their physical location (safe-deposit box, fireproof safe at [address]) so your executor knows where to look.
• The Property (Digital Assets etc) Act 2025 confirms digital property can be the object of personal-property rights in England and Wales — but executor access remains a practical, not legal, problem.
