How do I apply for a GHIC card free?

Where a link is marked *, it is a partner link — we receive commission at no extra cost to you. Links without a * earn us nothing. How we make money.

In short: Apply at NHS.uk/using-the-nhs/healthcare-abroad — you need your National Insurance number and passport details. The card is free; avoid websites charging a fee. Allow a few weeks for postal delivery.
