# How much can I earn on Universal Credit?

## In short

There is no fixed earnings cut-off — Universal Credit tapers by 55p per £1 of net earnings above your work allowance (if you have one). Many part-time and full-time workers still receive some UC.

Work allowance applies if you have children or limited capability for work — £404/month with housing costs in 2025/26, £631 without.

Self-employed claimants face Minimum Income Floor after 12 months. Report earnings monthly through your journal.
