## In short

A weekly top-up from Social Security Scotland for low-income families with children under 16 on qualifying benefits such as Universal Credit. It is paid on top of UC — it does not reduce your award.

Apply at mygov.scot — not through DWP.

One payment per eligible child; rates are set each April.

See Scottish Child Payment guide and Scotland benefits hub.
