# How long do 0% balance transfer offers last?

## In short

Typically 12 to 29 months in 2026, then the standard APR applies to any remaining balance. A transfer fee of 2%–4% of the amount moved is usually added upfront.

Pay off the full transferred balance before the 0% ends to avoid high revert rates. Do not spend on the card unless it also has a 0% purchase offer — payments often clear the promotional balance first.

One fee is cheaper than multiple small transfers. Check minimum repayments so you do not miss payments and lose the offer.
